Also, I don't know how to subscribe or add someone to my watchlist. And is this different from adding friends?

to have those nice layout and add friends you have to buy subscription.
i don't know how to subscribe but just click "No subscription" (by the logout button) and follow the steps
to add someone to your watchlist go to the person's profile. on the right, where it says PROFILE, click "Watch this deviant" and that's it
