how do you make your friends pictures smaller on your profile.. cos i have a skinny layout and it looks weird them having big pictures.. so how do i do it?

there is a program you can download to resize images its called something like IFRAN i am not totally sure the name i have it at my home but i am at work now...
i have mine on photobucket or somewhere,and i don't click on the pictues to make them bigger,i save the smale ones onto my com. then it's small!!
